After two 85 mile days in brutal heat (mid 90's), no shade and constant headwinds along the levees, I am in Natchez, MS. Tomorrow is a day off, thank goodness. My poor sister Kris is averaging at least two flats a day, even using a borrowed tire from someone else. It's pretty stressful for the group and very discouraging for her. Today someone else had two flat tires as well, so at least Kris can laugh and say she's not alone. We're going to try and find a bike shop tomorrow and see if they can do anything.
I will also sit down tomorrow and do some longer notes. Although hot, there have been some lovely plantations and interesting sites and the Briars Inn where we are staying is absolutely gorgeous.
