My favorite ride break

Today, Friday's ride was a quick 25 mile leg stretcher out to my favorite place to break a ride. It's called "fill your cup" and is located on highway 90 A just before the center of the town of Richmond. They make the best iced latte of any place I know and they make a brown sugar scone which is to die for. They also feature poetry slams and evening jazz, at least according to their newsletter.

So I braved the 15 mph winds in my face to ride out and get a latte and a scone. Coming back was a bit easier as the wind was quartering from the back, but the rain was coming from the front, a phenomenon I cannot figure out but is undoubtedly due to winds eddies or magnetic currentsor possibly some bizarre plenatry convergence known only in Texas.

Ride Statistics

Distance 25
Average Speed 14.9 (in spite of the wind HA!!!)
Time 1hour 40 on the bike
headwind- you betcha, clocked in on the weather channel at 15mph with gusts upto 20
