I haz.....

I have purple armwarmers with argyll decorations.
Plus 3 is a sports and fitness social network that allows you to pick among a number of corporate sponsers and bicycling oriented causes and ride to raise money for these causes. Basically you log your mileage on the website and your particular corporate sponser will donate a set amount for each mile you have ridden to the biking cause of your choice. I ride for Trek WWR (Women Who Ride) and the money I earn for my mileage goes from them to the League of American Bicyclists.
Periodically various corporate sponsers will have contests offering prizes for specifically oriented goals. For example, SRAM had a contest offering a free pair of biking socks for any0ne riding 500 road miles by a set date, while Pedro bicycles offered a freea set number of exercise recyclable under seat bag for logging 90 activities within a set time.
I have the free pair of biking socks which I wear and are great, and the underseat bag which was basically not so great and has gone to a new bikier just starting out who just needed something temporarily while she looked into other options.
The most recent contest, which is still ongoing, was sponsored by Trek WSD (woman specific designs) is a pair of the Trek WWR armwarmers for anyone logging 1,000 road miles during the run of the contest. This is the first pair of armwarmers, and unless the contest ends suddenly, I am over half way towards my second pair.
They are aggresively purple with an argyll design of powder blue, white and darker purple, which is the design motif and color scheme selected by the WWR club, group which Trek started up the year Garmin Chipotle road in the Tour De France in their orange and blue argyll design.
Since most of my riding jerseys are in the orange, red and yellow range for visibility, and my wind vest is orange, if and when cooler fall weather ever comes to South Texas, I should be very colorful.
In the meantime, seeing the amount I am contributing to charitable causes increasing on the website, being listed occasionally on the monthly leader board and an occasional"atta girl" prize, helps to keep me motivated and gives me a reason to push for some extra miles. Of course if I win a second pair of armwarmers I will have to start wearing them as part of my daily outfit or as a fashion statement at the gym. Better yet, maybe I'll find another new rider and help her kit out.
